Description

One Tomoe: The first of the Sharingan's powers is being able to see the flow of chakra. The Sharingan itself gives colour to chakra, allowing the wielder to differentiate them. They are also able to tell if a person is under a genjutsu because the person's chakra flow would be irregular.

Two Tomoe: The Sharingan's second-most prominent ability grants the user an incredible clarity of perception, allowing them to easily recognize genjutsu and different forms of chakra, though not to the same extent as the Byakugan. This also allows the user to pick up on subtle details, enabling them to read lip movements or mimic something like pencil movements. It gives them minor precognitive abilities as well, though not as strong as three tomoe.

Three Tomoe: The Sharingan's third and most well-known ability is that it grants the user the ability to copy almost any technique that he or she witnesses, apart from other kekkei genkai techniques. The user can memorize ninjutsu, genjutsu, and taijutsu with near-perfect accuracy, allowing the user to use the techniques as their own, or even modify them to create their own new techniques. In order to reproduce a copied technique, however, one must have the necessary skill or ability to perform them. In addition to physical skill and kekkei genkai techniques, the Sharingan cannot reproduce techniques dependent on other factors, such as summons that the user has not signed a contract with. The Uchiha's clarity of perception ability (two tomoe) extends to being able to track fast-moving objects before finally giving some amount of predictive capabilities to the user, allowing them to see the image of an attacker's next move from the slightest muscle tension in their body and counter-attack or dodge without any wasted movement. However, even though the user may be able to see an attack or know it is coming, their body may not always have time to react.

Perquisites: In order for members of the Uchiha Clan to unlock the Two Tomoe Sharingan it is required that they experience some level of tragedy (Involving an NPC with special permission or an actual member's character) that impacts them more directly and then must experience yet another impacting tragedy (involving an actual member's character) to unlock their Three Tomoe Sharingan. The Sharingan can last up to ten posts with a ten posts cooldown. As an Uchiha clansman, you are required to have the Fire chakra nature from the start.

Description: The Mangekyō Sharingan has the ability to access other powerful techniques. The Mangekyō Sharingan is awakened through the trauma experienced from the death of a person very close to the Sharingan user. With the user normally having to witness or experience this first hand, Uchiha throughout history have killed a person very close to them in order to expedite this process. To obtain the Mangekyō Sharingan, one must feel the emotion of losing a friend or family, as merely killing them or watching them die will not activate it.
Perquisites: In order for members of the Uchiha Clan to unlock the Mangekyō Sharingan it is required that they experience the emotion of losing a friend or family member (an actual member's character). Once unlocked the Mangekyō Sharingan can be used approximately six times before the user goes blind. Members with a Mangekyō Sharingan will be required to record how many times they have used it. The Mangekyō Sharingan can last up to ten posts with a ten post cooldown. Must be at least a B-rank Ninja to unlock the Mangekyō Sharingan.

Physical Appearance


While off-duty, Shizue wears the traditional Uchiha garbs. A high-collar dark grey, short-sleeved shirt with the clan's crest, the "Fire Fan" on the back of it. He also wears loose, dark grey pants that fall down to his ankles and long white tabi, tucked in black sandals. His small ninja pouches hang from the sides of his pants.

While on-duty, Shizue wears the standard uniform for Konoha ANBU operatives, consisting of black clothing, a grey flak jacket, metal arm guards and gloves, ninja sandals with spikes for traveling into mountainous regions, three ninja pouches on their back-waist and a signature spiral tattoo on their shoulder. On occassion, he wears a black cloak over their standard uniform, and if he's leading a squad, he wears a white cloak.

The ANBU mask of his choice was custom-made, a porcelain Karasu tengu mask, which is used to conceal his identity while on a mission. The eye sockets of the porcelain mask can be manually opened, allowing for the use of Dōjutsu.

Personality

Shizue doesn’t have faith in anyone from the start unless he’s shared the same household with them or has known them for years. That said, he’s always been more clan-oriented and somewhat of a homebody. Outwardly he appears levelheaded and composed like the ebb and flow of the ocean, but what’s going on inside is unfathomable, to the point of him being hypersensitive to what’s said and what isn’t about or to him. He is very powerfully attuned to his own emotions and the emotions of those around him; capable of distinguishing the emotional sensibilities in the air, almost to the point of being a sensory-type ninja, albeit particular sensory. Nothing gets past Shizue and he knows a fraud when he sees one. When he’s comfortable he tends to be very nurturing to his loved ones, taking care of them and cleaning up their messes, though he doesn’t do this directly since he’s uncomfortable with expressing that side of himself; he needs his loved ones to see him as somebody that is resilient and can be relied upon for it. So long as someone is out there depending on him he performs at his best, it’s when he doesn’t feel needed that he’s inclined to perform at his worst. While he tends to play the part of consular with his inner-circle of friends, seldom does he ever share his own undercurrent of feelings with others, giving him a sense of enigma. His psyche isn’t one that can be so easily breached since he’s well-guarded and has been for years. The primary drive for his predisposition to keep his frame of mind to himself is unlike what most may be liable to believe; he fears being hurt by the ones he cares so much about.

…The Mangekyō Sharingan ability named after the Shinto deity that was created from Izanagi’s own breath which dispelled the mist that shrouded the land in its original state. Shinatsuhiko also occupies the space in between Heaven and Earth.

Description: The three tomoe take shape into a newly formed pinwheel being Shizue’s Mangekyō Sharingan. With the Shizue’s right eye open, much like the Amaterasu, the eye simply needs to be focused on the target or targets in order to generate an effect, but, unlike the Amaterasu it doesn’t discharge black flames, but vacuums which reject air molecules in the targeted area, causing deoxygenation and crushing regardless of the targeted area’s composition. The crushing has the power to grind bones easily, if the target is caught within the vacuum. This can be used to completely absorb Ninjutsu that clash with the vacuum since it terminates the atmospheric aspect that matter and energy exist within. Fire, Wind and Sound cannot be used at all if within range of the vacuum due to its suction. The strength of suction increases the closer the target is to the point the vacuum was spawned. These vacuums can explode and/or implode with ferocious (S-rank) force by either rejecting the air around it with powerful force or causing air to rush back into the vacuum resulting in a crushing explosion. Every individual vacuum expands within a 10m radius and has an explosion radius of 15m. The manipulation of these vacuums can have some effect on weather, should Shizue will it to be so allowing him to bend the atmospheric pressure to create various weather phenomenons. These phenomenons include: precipitation/snowfall, strong winds, heat waves and fog.

Description: The three tomoe take shape into a newly formed pinwheel being Shizue’s Mangekyō Sharingan. With Shizue’s left eye open, he becomes a living vacuum. For as long as his Mangekyō Sharingan is active, he becomes the intangible atmospheric region. Those within 30ft of him cannot breathe and will be crushed within 3 posts; individual limbs can be crushed within 2 posts. With his Left Eye active he can absorb ninjutsu into his very own vacuum, commonly through the mouth. Those who get in immediate physical contact with him can be crushed either partially or wholly within 1 post. There is absolutely no sound within the 30m radius and fire, sound and wind release simply will not work. The user can explode and/or implode with ferocious (S-rank) force by either rejecting the air around him with powerful force or causing air to rush back into him resulting in a crushing explosion. Story

Biography

Shizue was born into the main branch of the Uchiha clan, meaning that he had to reach the lofty expectations of being a descendant of none other than Sasuke Uchiha and the powerful Uchiha ninja that came before him. It appeared that all Uchiha men shared the very same aspect and his older brother Kazuma along with his father, Masato grasped that sooner than Shizue did. Shizue on the other hand was always a more sensitive child and was neglected by his father, much his grandfather. Despite this, Shizue did have a support system: his mother and spent a lot more time with her. It was his strong sentiments for his mother that allowed for him to awaken his Sharingan at the age of 6, which was an achievement within the Uchiha clan. It was enough to get his father’s attention and it was none other than his father who taught him how to fully master the Great Fireball Technique at the age of 8. At that age, Shizue attended the Ninja Academy of Konohagakure no Sato and even within the school he had quite the record to match up to and he was still walking in his older brother’s shadow at the school since Kazuma went down as the youngest to have graduated. This didn’t help the young Uchiha branch out and make a whole lot of friends, but, he preferred it that way. So long as he had his family, he was fine.

When Shizue reached the apt age of 10, he graduated from the Ninja Academy. His grades were strikingly similar to his older brother’s and while it took him a little more time, it greatly honed his knowledge of the effective use of basic skills. The following day, Shizue met the fellow members of his Squad as well as his Squad Captain. Satoshi was his male partner and Izume was his female partner. The former was a talented member of the branch house of the Hyūga and the latter was an Aburame. The three were all Kekkei Genkai users and it always gave them an edge on missions. Their sensei was Taromatsu Sarutobi, a proud member of the Sarutobi clan with a knack for setting things on fire. Expectedly, the three Genin didn’t get along too well. Shizue didn’t appreciate Satoshi’s blunt manner of speaking and haughty attitude but he did find Izume to be an amusing girl that had a strange fascination for his Sharingan, which of course, Satoshi resented. Taromatsu partook in his role as Squad Captain expecting things to be difficult at first, but he knew full well that overtime the three would grow on one another.

…A few missions later and the Chūnin examinations began. Fortunately for the young Shizue, he had a family to cheer him on; otherwise, he doubted he would’ve been as successful as he was. The preliminaries were easy enough, especially given that he had already mastered a C-rank Ninjutsu years prior. The fact that his skill level was above his peer group was evident. The only two who stood a chance against Shizue were the ones who spent the past few months working alongside him. They did just as well and all of them passed the Preliminaries. The Finals were simply put: lethal. Most of the Shinobi were pushed to their limits and one was actually killed in the heat of combat. The reality of the Chūnin Selection Exam was hitting Shizue and hitting him hard. Izume was close, but not close enough to making it to the very top of the food chain. Ultimately, the last two Shinobi standing were Shizue and none other than his teammate, Satoshi. This was likely predetermined by the Hokage and those juding the Exams, after all, it was a true test of ambition, going up against the very person who fought alongside you and helped keep you alive for an extended period of time. The two knew their techniques well and before Shizue knew it, their battle began. Shizue’s Taijutsu was no match, but he had the advantage of range and he exploited that advantage, however, the raw power of the flames he produced weren’t up to par since he was hesitant; he didn’t want to do any real harm to his former partner. Satoshi caught onto it quickly enough and struck a fast and gentle blow at Shizue’s abdomen. Shizue remembered the crown looking down at him, he had been practically frozen. Satoshi would’ve finished it, but before he could, Shizue opened his eyes, revealing two tomoes. He used his newfound precognition, to predict Satoshi’s movements and made a swift dodge and parry, turning the Hyūga’s gentle fist against him, which was a success. Shizue knew that Satoshi was willing to sacrifice his camaraderie for his own success and used the Great Fireball Technique at full power. This left Satoshi overwhelmed and terribly burned… However, it was a victory for Shizue and the crowds cheered him on. For once in his life, he felt like a star.

Ultimately, the Kekkei Genkai trio became Chūnin. This meant that Shizue became Chūnin the same age his prodigious brother had, so, it wasn’t only a victory in the short-term, but, in the long-term because there would be a day where he and his brother could be treated as equals. The burns all over Satoshi’s body lingered there for a while and Satoshi had threatened to get revenge for not only the pain dealt to him but for the humility he brought to the Hyūga clan on that day; for the following two years, Shizue played his part in the hierarchy of Shinobi dutifully. He did so well that he was given a couple of A-rank missions alongside Jōnin. He had even gone on a mission where they were delivering intelligence to Sunagakure with his former sensei, Tadamatsu. After which, led to an on-level spar between Master and Student. The battle was intense and Shizue would’ve lost it to his former master, however, he had a trick up his sleeve: Water-nature Ninjutsu and Tadamatsu’s high-class Fire-nature Ninjutsu was no match. It was after Shizue’s victory that Tadamatsu recommended him for Jōnin. Which was later approved by the Kage and his Jōnin-commander, Shizue’s older brother, Kazuma Uchiha. At the age of 12 he became a Jōnin under the command of his brother. Fate had a strange way of making itself known.

Despite the fact that both Kazuma and Shizue worked more closely together, there wasn’t a whole lot of bonding. As a matter of fact, there was none. The only time they “bonded” was when Shizue reported his progress to the Central Control Center. Shizue didn’t intend to remain a Jōnin forever, but knew he would have to have a more intricate skill-set that would get their attention, thus, he began working with the Konoha Medical Corps. Shizue’s chakra control was exceptional and he had a knack for Medical Ninjutsu. When it came to his ability as a Medic, he far outshone those that were his level and even some of those that were above. Not to mention that he had a real passion for Medical Ninjutsu. He liked helping people, and then it hit him, he could make ends meet with Satoshi by healing the burns he afflicted a couple of years back. That one motivation was what kept him going and going. It didn’t take long before he was elected into the Medical Corps. His outlets broadened and suddenly he was connected to his entire Ninja Village, assisting wherever it was needed, either out in the field or back at home.

A year later, at the age of 13, Shizue was informed by Kazuma that while out on a mission, their father, Masato betrayed his fellow ninja and struck them down. Kazuma killed their father with his own hands. Shizue didn’t know how to react. His father was a traitor? It was strange to him, he knew his father as someone who had inherited the Will of Fire, but was that all a lie? Did he give in to the Curse of Hatred as so many Uchiha before him? He didn’t want to believe. This was a new age, Sasuke, their grandfather, returned to the village, he didn’t destroy it. For a while, Shizue crept into his shell and hardly ever left the house, fortunately, he had his mother Emiko there to comfort him and bring ease to his mind. Eventually however, he resolved to heal Satoshi, that would do their clan’s wrong a right.

When he entered the Hyūga clan compound, the Main family welcomed him with open arms while the Branch family expressed disdain on their faces. Apparently the wounds that were afflicted on Satoshi during the course of a mission were more fatal because the damage dealt was further augmented by Satoshi’s burns that Shizue himself afflicted a few years back. His Medical Ninjutsu prowess was put to the test and he spent hours working on Satoshi using every bit of knowledge he acquired from his time in the Medical Corps. By the end of the day, Shizue was proud to announce to the Hyūga clan that Satoshi would fully recover within the coming week. After that amount of time, Satoshi confronted Shizue in the hospital and sincerely thanked him for having cured his ailments. The two made up and they were once more friends again. It was one of Shizue’s happiest moments.

One night, at the age of 14, while Shizue was patrolling the outer walls of Konohagakure, he noticed a fully-cloaked silhouette making his way up along the wall. Shizue engaged him with a kunai and the two clashed. They would’ve been evenly matched but in the midst of the fight, it was as if his opponent could predict every single one of Shizue’s movements, which put him at a grave disadvantage. It reminded him of the fight against Satoshi years back, but this time he didn’t have to rely upon his Ninjutsu for the advantage of range, instead he utilized chakra scalpels as a fighting style, an incredibly rare practice since the chakra scalpel is an incredibly precise form of chakra that requires great control and accurate strikes. Fortunately, Shizue knew the human body well. His opponent’s Taijutsu became ineffective even with the predictive advantage. Once Shizue gained an advantage over his opponent, he struck at his hood, revealing a three-tomoe Sharingan on the young man’s face. “…You would strike down your own kin?” The young man noticed Shizue’s own Sharingan. Shizue didn’t recognize this young man as anyone from his immediate family, the Main branch family, and questioned where it was that this Uchiha came from. He answered that he came from Kusagakure. Apparently the Uchiha was a distant cousin and intended to attack Konohagakure for their years of prejudice. It was a self-destructive mission. Shizue, being an Uchiha himself, convinced him to step down. He had no home, so Shizue promptly offered him shelter; of course, it would be another one of his closely-guarded secrets and his older brother, Kazuma, now the Head of the clan, would know anything about it. It wouldn’t last, of course, and Shizue knew this, but he had to try. Thus, the young man named Hiren Uchiha, was provided room and board.

Hiren didn’t quite know why he chose to stay with Shizue, perhaps it was his longing for a family, since his own family was killed off when he was a boy by a Special Task Force from Konohagakure, that were aware of his family’s destructive path. To Shizue, Hiren reminded him of the clan’s past-self and poor reputation, but he was evidence that it could be mended. After all, the Main family of the Uchiha settled down in Konoha for over a hundred years. The two of them became really close and Hiren was even getting to the point of wanting to branch out and experience Konohagakure, so Shizue’s secret was becoming harder and harder to contain. Though this period of friendship and understanding last for nearly a year, it wasn’t enough to remain under the Council’s nose for long and eventually they deployed a Task Force comprised of Jōnin. The Captain of the Task Force was his old mentor, Tadamatsu, and he addressed Hiren, saying that he’d need to be taken in for questioning. Shizue exclaimed that Hiren hadn’t done a thing and such an act would be infringing on the private rights of the Uchiha clan, however, that wasn’t enough, since Hiren didn’t come from Konohagakure. Hiren had no intention of budging. Never would this proud Uchiha bend to the ninja village responsible for his parents’ deaths. “…Nothing’s changed, Shizue. Don’t you see? …The Hidden Leaf still thinks less of us.” Tadamatsu once more reminded him why the Task Force was there. That’s when Hiren drew his sword. “Thank you for reminding me what family feels like...” Before Shizue could stop Hiren, he had triggered his Sharingan and struck at Tadamatsu and the Task Force. The Task Force was no match for Hiren, aside from Tadamatsu and when the two of them began their fight, Tadamatsu gave Shizue a look, one that expressed his expectations for Shizue as a Leaf Ninja. Shizue knew he couldn’t just stand there. He watched as his former teacher and best friend were killing eachother. Another tomoe revealed itself. Shizue knew the outcome of the battle should he not intervene. He had to choose, the Hidden Leaf or the Uchiha clan. It was the hardest decision in his life. Before Hiren could land the final blow, Shizue appeared behind him, “…Forgive me, Hiren.” The edge of his kunai penetrated Hiren’s chest, and Hiren wasn’t able to kill Tadamatsu. Shizue turned Hiren around and held him in his arms, Hiren looked up to Shizue with blood pouring out of his mouth. “Th…This…could be…you…one day. D…Don’t trust…them.” Hiren cringed on Shizue’s sleeve as he let out his final breath, and just like that, he was gone; Shizue could feel his soul leave his body. Tears trickled down the sides of his face. The sensation was overwhelming, and for a moment, all Shizue could feel was a deep hatred… but for what? He did not know. Tadamatsu watched in horror as he noticed his former pupil’s three-tomoe Sharingan take shape into a wholly different form. Shizue looked up at his mentor with his eyes covered in tears and his eyes reverted to normal. Tadamatsu helped lift Hiren out of Shizue’s arms, since Shizue was too weak to do it himself.

The following week, Hiren’s funeral was held, only because Shizue insisted he have one and it reminded him of his father’s funeral. Another Uchiha dead; another having succumbed to the Curse of Hatred. Perhaps it could also happen to him, or his siblings, but he didn’t dwell on that thought for too long. When Shizue reached the age of 15, his older brother, Kazuma Uchiha, became the first Uchiha Hokage. It would hopefully be the dawn of a new era, truly, for the members of the Uchiha clan who were still out there. One of the first things that Kazuma did when he sat upon the seat of Hokage, was elect his younger brother as a part of ANBU. Only Tadamatsu witnessed Shizue’s Mangekyō Sharingan since its awakened, but, its remained a secret to the rest of the village, including the Hokage.
